“From the highest rafters of academia comes another enemy of freedom: communitarianism. This is a belief system that opposes both authoritarianism and individualism, and promotes instead a social organization that is governed by policies designed by civil society to limit individual freedom as required for the benefit the community.”
“Described by Bill Clinton and Tony Blair as “The Third Way” this relatively new philosophy has actually guided design and structure of the sustainable development movement. The goals of communitarianism and of sustainable development are quite laudable. In a word, they seek to balance the rights of the individual with the needs of the community. The problems arise in the methods employed to achieve these goals.”
“Peter Drucker, in The Age of Transformation, says that this age is far from over and predicts it will reach well into the next century. This is a time, which calls for a critical mass of transformational leaders who will commit to creating a synergy of energy within their circle of influence so new level of social, economic, organizational and spiritual success can be reached. We have not, however, developed the leaders we need for this noble task. To reach such heights, we will need to un-tap the leadership potential of skillful leaders who are successfully directing various organizations and systems. Some of these men and women, knowledgeable and committed, to there profession, will be the transformational leaders we need to create the needed synergy of energy. This new paradigm of transformational leadership is not just for the marketplace but also for the local and global movement of Christ.”
(Rick Warren’s pastors.com)
“The mission of the Leadership Network is to accelerate the emergence of the 21st-century church. We believe the emerging paradigm of the 21st century church calls for the development of new tools and resources as well as the equipping of a new type of 21st century church leader, both clergy and laity. This new paradigm is not centered in theology but rather it is focused on structure, organization, and the transition from an institutionally based church to a mission-driven church. We value innovation that leads to results and working with Kingdom perspective church leaders. We value seeing fruit on other people’s trees.”
(Bob Buford/Leadership Network, Halftime)
“The first Reformation clarified what we believe. This reformation is all about how we act and operate in the world. It involves the key components of purpose, decentralization, lay mobilization, use of technology, and continuous learning. Churches that change are thriving and growing more effective. Churches that refuse to change will miss the reformation, and are dying.”
Amitai Etzioni se traduce prin “The tree of Life from Zion”, fiind o referinta spre pomul vietii cabalistic.
Practic e o mare inselatorie…
“Communitarianism is a global agenda toward world government. It uses a coalition of government, business, and church who shore up the social, moral, and political environment, while slowly robbing the freedom of the participants. A Communitarian adopts and advocates concepts such as a cooperative spirit of community, selfless commitment to community service, and the duty to work for “the common good. ”It’s tied from the U.N. directly to Agenda 21, the Third Way, Common Purpose, laws, community objectives, Total Quality Management, education, food delivery systems, and the collectivist thinking pattern of the global community. It uses the Hegelian Dialectic to create the synthesis needed to develop the New World Order – and ultimately the totalitarian utopia of the Elite’s New Atlantis.” (Sursa)
Autorul Patrick Wood, in cartea sa numita “Technocracy Rising“, in anexa numita “Transforming Christianity” scrie urmatoarele:
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines Communitarian as “of or relating to social organization in small cooperative partially collectivist communities.” Some critics claim that Communitarianism is nothing more than Communism, but this is not likely the case, and Communitarians themselves reject this idea. Rather, it more likely reflects Zbigniew Brzezinski’s Technetronic Era, his fourth and final stage of historical evolution, namely, “the ideal of rational humanism on a global scale – the result of American-Communist evolutionary transformations”. There is an apocalyptic flavor to Communitarianism due to the fact that when Capitalism (represented by America) and Communism collide head-on (i.e., toward Technocracy) the resulting chaos will cause all sides to surrender to a single ideology. Whether described from the perspective of Technocracy, Smut’s Holism, Brzezinski’s Technetronic Era, Brundtland’s Sustainable Development or Communitarianism, the result is exactly the same: The individual ceases to have any intrinsic value and instead receives worth only in direct proportion to his or her position in, and contribution to, the community. All activity is directed toward the “common good”. (p .212)
To Drucker, the energy available to the church needed to be pumped into the social community (towns and cities) under the label of volunteerism, social action and other types of community involvement. The third leg of his three-legged stool could only be built in this manner, and he was very clear about it. In short, Drucker had succeeded in inserting a communitarian virus into America’s remaining evangelical church movement. You might ask as this point, “How did it spread?” According to the same interview, Buford gives a hint:
So his [Drucker’s] influence on me and the church was a happy confluence of timing and readiness: of my pursing him and his genius for management, our growing friendship, my interest in the church, and the prepared minds of Bill Hybels and Rick Warren and other pastors. When Peter appeared, they were ready. Peter said to me once in an interview, “They didn’t say, ‘Look, leave us alone.’ They said ‘Give us more. Where is it? We need you.’”
Thus, we see that Drucker mentored not only Bob Buford but soon-to-be megachurch pastors Rick Warren (Saddleback Church) and Bill Hybels (Willow Creek Association). The combination of Drucker’s Communitarian philosophy and his massive collection of management resources thus became the new and fertile ground for America’s megachurches and another postmodern phenomenon, the so-called emergent church. Inshort, this was the beginning of the “transforming” of the “latent energy of American Christianity”. More importantly, it is what has filled the vacuum left by the waning of interest in Bible prophecy and the doctrine of Heaven as discussed earlier. Today, this newly transformed evangelical church is thoroughly focused on earthly, rather than heavenly, endeavors. This is clearly reflected in statements like these from churches (large and small) around the nation:
- We are a family of faith, fully engaged, transforming our community and our world. (Vancouver, Washington)
- …dedicated to serving Jesus and people in the context of their local community. (Seattle, Washington)
- …partners with community minded individuals and organizations to serve and transform our community. (Chapel Hill, North Carolina)
- We are a movement of people who understand we are Jesus’plan to transform and heal communities. (Granger, Indiana) (p. 217)
The result of this Communitarian error is having a profound impact on thousands of churches in America as the doctrine continues to be spread by Leadership Network and other organizations like it and by people like Bob Buford, Rick Warren and Bill Hybels. It is a pernicious error that redirects the believer’s energy from heavenly things to earthly things, bringing about what the Bible labels as apostasy, or a “falling away”. (p. 219)
Whereas the Bilical mandate for Christians is to be “salt and light” to the world, led by pastors toward Godly living, many Christians instead have become little more than community reformers led by community organizers. And, of course, this is exactly what Peter Drucker desired more than anything else during the last quarter of his life. (p. 220)
“Peter Drucker is a well-known communitarian, which is a political economic view that holds that “individual rights need to be balanced with social responsibilities, and that autonomous selves do not exist in isolation, but are shaped by the values and culture of communities.” The Society gives man his rights and correspondently defines man’s responsibilities. The Society sets the standards, defines the outcomes (“results”), and then prescribes either rewards or penalties based on performance. If this sounds like outcome-based education, it is. This system is embedded in the language of the No Child Left Behind legislation. Purpose-Driven and Outcome-Based are cast from the same mold.
Communitarianism is not communism, as it eschews the Marxist collective. But it is not free market capitalism in an economic sense, either. Communitarians believe they have found what social scientist and communitarian, Amitai Etzioni, called a “third way”. This “third way” most closely resembles a corporate State although many would deny this. The “third way” would be best described as a universal application of General Systems Theory to Society, particularly economically, politically and socially. The communitarian movement emphasizes community as part of a greater societal whole. Every human activity must be done for the “common good.”
What happens to churches and other private pursuits, including the right to “free association”? In this institutional and hierarchical worldview, man is complete only when part of a viable “organism” (i.e., organization). Man must perfect himself in an evolutionary sense, working towards the unity and common good of society. His individualism is subsumed by the whole. If this also sounds like the esoteric mysticism of the New Age movement, in which man is uniting into one cosmic body known as homo universalis, it is. Both movements have roots deep in the dark abysses of pre-Nazi Germany. The fact that certain Christian leaders have infused this evolutionary systems theory into Christianity by concocting new doctrines about ecclesiology and eschatology is of relevance here.”
“The real goal of the Earth Charter is that it will in fact become like the Ten Commandments.” (Maurice Strong, Chairman of the Earth Council and Co-Chair of the Earth Charter Commission, March 5, 1998)
(Sursa foto: www.arkofhope.org)
Deci vorbim despre o religie… in care “Earth Charter” reprezinta echivalentul celor zece porunci. Dar cine sunt preotii? Care sunt ritualurile? Cine e hristosul? Care sunt practicantii acestei religii? Just think!
Unde e Hristos in toate astea?
Mai aveti vreun dubiu despre agenda “BIG Impact” in Romania? Intelegeti ce influenta dezastruoasa are aceasta organizatie asupra bisericilor si asupra pastorilor implicati?
Interesant ce spunea in urma cu ceva vreme unul dintre prietenii mei virtuali despre Peter Drucker si “Leadership Network”:
Management guru Peter Drucker — a nominal Lutheran and self-declared Kierkagaardian mystic — backed by ultra-wealthy businessmen like Bob Buford and Phil Anschutz, declared traditional church denominations obsolete and resolved to finish them off with the market-driven McChurches of his protégés Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, and C. Peter Wagner. 20 years late, Druckerism — a networked cult of business leadership — is the predominant teaching in American churches, barely disguised by Biblical language. (K.J.)
In May 2011, Lynne Hybels, wife of founding pastor Bill Hybels of Willow Creek Church in Chicago, was appointed to President Obama’s faith council. Lynne, who also writes for the magazine and website of Jim Wallis, wants her husband’s church to focus on the imperative of global warming and care for the environment. Concerned about the Hybels’s emphasis on such an agenda, David Noebel wrote an article for worldviewweekend.com entitled, “Pastor Bill Hybels’ Wife and Willow Creek Are Proud of the ‘Social Justice’ of Rev. Jim Wallis.” In it, Noebel quotes one of Lynne Hybels’s blog posts:
“I look forward to the day when we as a church will be known for being the greenest church on the planet, not just because we enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, but because we know that climate change is a justice issue.”
Lynne’s job title at Willow Creek Church is “Advocate for Global Engagement.” Apparently, she’s more interested in engaging the globe itself than the people who live on it.
David Noebel also reveals that Lynn Hybels’s friend and co-laborer for the advancement of socialism, Jim Wallis, is a “defender of Fidel Castro and a party to the proliferation of Communist revolutions throughout Central America, moving amongst the evangelicals and deceiving them left and left.”
The Hybels have embraced an assortment of radicals. Speakers at their church services and conferences include Bill Clinton, Bono, Tony Blair, Rob Bell, and Brian McLaren, among others. Hybels admits he is a progressive—yet another name for “socialist”—in his endorsement of Jim Wallis’s book The Great Awakening:
Progressive and centrist evangelicals are one stirring away from a real awakening. We are interested in the poor, in racial reconciliation, in global poverty and AIDS, in the plight of women in the developing world. What Wallis has been talking about is coming to fruition. (p. 247)(sublinierile imi apartin)
Si toate lucrurile acestea sunt de la Dumnezeu, care ne-a impacat cu El prin Isus Hristos si ne-a incredintat slujba impacarii;
(2 Corinteni 5:15-21)
